Work Smart: The Business of Therapy is a monthly, participatory meeting where members can share and gain insights for the entrepreneurial aspects of private practice. The agenda is set at the start of each meeting by those who show up and the questions they bring. This is a friendly space to practice your elevator pitch; ask about the latest business-related thing you’re confused, stressed, or happy about; offer your own experience and perspective; and/or simply connect with colleagues. Sampling of past topics: getting paid, liability insurance, managing schedules, handling taxes, new things you want for your business, legal requirements, licensing, office space, telehealth, internet providers, podcasting, websites, phone service, advertising, and much more.
