SUNDAY AUGUST 25TH 9:00 AM TO 1:00 PM 36 MILLSTONE CAMPUS DR, ST. LOUIS, MO 63146
Psychotherapy St Louis and Sonder Counseling will be sponsoring an event in conjunction with the St Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum to explore how intersecting identities on the part of clients and clinicians can alter and impact the therapeutic process. The event will start with a tour of the museum and will address how the political and personal combined in Nazi Germany and the impact had on the lived experiences of the individuals of that era. A workshop will follow the tour wherein participants will explore their own intersecting identities, the role of implicit bias in our lives, how politics and the personal appear in the mental health field, and the ethical quandaries posed by these interactions.
The event will qualify for 3 hours of continuing education credit. This event is provided at no cost and open to clinicians and non-clinicians alike.
