Course Description:
Brainspotting is an effective treatment modality for therapists to treat trauma and the psychological and physical symptoms clients bring into therapy. This method infiltrates the natural self-healing capacities of the brain and the body, making it effective for almost all therapeutic issues and adaptable to all clinical approaches. This course offers an introduction to Brainspotting to highlight its development, leading principles, and application in therapy. Participants will learn what Brainspots are, how to locate them, and how to create the framework to support deep processing and neuroplastic rewiring. A primary focus of this course is teaching participants to embrace the relational and neurobiological components of Brainspotting to help resolve past traumas, regulate emotions, gain clarity, enhance performance, improve focus, and relieve symptoms. Experiential exercises enhance participants’ understanding of ways to integrate Brainspotting practices and ideologies into their current therapy practices.
This course will offer CEUs for LCSW, LPC, and LMFTs.
